1987 | Etienne Boileau, Christian Simon and William Nahan regroup their farming and join together their competencies on June 30 in order to create the GAEC Domaine du Chardonnay. So, the Domaine has a surface of 11 hectares of vines, among which 9 are in production, plus 80 hectares of cere. |
1988 | In 1988, the Domaine doubles his vineyard. Since, he produces Petit Chablis, Chablis, and five Chablis Premiers Crus. It is as well the year of the first employee recruitment. | |
1991 | Year of strong spring frost, as a result only half of the harvest of the Domaine will be saved. |
1992 | The Domaine drops out the cereal growing in order to dedicate itself to the vine-growing. To fight frost, The Domaine is equipped of protection against frost and juice heating system. |
1993 | The Domaine realizes huge investments regarding wine-making autonomy: acquisition of mechanicals wine press, setting up of a full winery… Since, the totality of the harvest is vinified in the Domaine by the know-how of his creators. The beginnings of the marketing in bottles of the harvest will be successful with a first golden medal in the “Concours Générale Agricole” in Paris. |
1998 | In 1998, the Domaine becomes self sufficient by the equipment of a perfect bottling line. Since, he does not stop improving marketing in bottles. | |
1999 | This year is marked by the purchase of two pneumatics Willmes wine-press to improve both the oenological quality and employees’ comfort. |
2002 | In the “Concours Générale Agricole”, the Domaine is rewarded by three golden medals on its three AOC, Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru. |
2003 | The Domaine du Chardonnay confirms its know-how with new rewards. Presently, fifteen employees work for the domaine. The installation of air- conditioning as well as modern thermoregulation is begun with a constant aim of quality improvement. | |
